Ahsan Manzil

Ahsan Manzil is stand on the banks of the Buriganga River in Kumartuli area of Islampur, Old Dhaka. It was before the resident palace of the Nawabs of Dhaka and the zamindari sadar kacharii. In modern times this place is led as a museum. 

This palace establisher name is Nawab Abdul Ghani. He named it after his son Khwaja Ahsanullah. Building of Ahsan Manzil was started in 1859 and finished in 1872. In 1906, the decision to launch Muslim League was held in a meeting here. Ahsan Manzil has been reformed several times. The latest reform has been latterly done. Now it is a museum led by the National Museum of Bangladesh.

Lalbagh Fort

Dhaka city- Lalbagh Fort (Kila Aurangabad) is an outstanding but incomplete Mughal fort located in the southwestern part of old Dhaka. It started in 1678 by Mughal Subadar Muhammad Azam Shah, who was the son of Emperor Aurangzeb and later also himself the emperor. His successor, Mughal Subadar Shaista Khan, resumed the construction in 1680, but did not complete it.
