He also requested the UK government to set up a special fund for its buyers. This information was given in a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday (May 19). Shahriar Alam made the request in a telephone conversation with the Minister of State for External Affairs Lord Ahmed (State Minister for South Asia and Commonwealth).

As a result, the livelihood of about 1 million workers and their family members working in this sector is in uncertainty. The issue of the effective role of the Commonwealth in the post-Corona global situation was also discussed.
