Augmented reality glasses are designed to guide the dog from a distance. The US military recently showed a demo of AR glasses made for dogs.
According to a report, the ‘Command Sight’ has made AR glasses for dogs.
The organization is managed by the US Army Research Laboratory (ARL).
Army dogs work to identify ammunition and other hazards. In this case, they need guidance. Officers will be able to instruct the dog to get out of the dangerous place safely through AR glasses.
Currently, soldiers instruct dogs on the battlefield with hand gestures or laser pointers. In this case, the soldier has to stay close to the dog. The dog will see a visible indicator inside the glasses.
Dogs will be trained to follow these instructions so that they can reach certain places. Meanwhile, the dog’s instructor can see what the dog is watching through the remote video feed.
