Coronavirus breaking news: Bangladesh in top ten

Bangladesh ranks in the top ten in terms of identifying new corona patients daily and in the last one week. So far, Bangladesh is among the top 20 countries in terms of total number of victims. But Bangladesh is one of the two countries lagging behind in corona sampling.

In Bangladesh, averages of 2,876 corona (Covid-19) identification tests are being completed for every 1 million people. Mexico has a little less testing than Bangladesh and compared to the eight countries in South Asia, only Afghanistan has fewer tests than Bangladesh.

However, at this time of increasing infection in Bangladesh, experts are advising to increase the number and scope of tests. Because, if the test is increased, more infected people will be identified. It will be easier to identify the risky areas and take necessary steps.

Bangladesh got coronavirus affected rank top ten

According to the World Health Organization, Bangladesh ranks tenth among the most newly diagnosed patients in the last one week.

Bangladesh is the second lowest test among these 10 countries. The lowest test is in Mexico, which is in the eighth place. In terms of infection, Qatar, which is in the 20th position right after Bangladesh, is conducting 99,959 tests for every 10 lakh.

According to the test takers, 94 samples can be tested at a time in the corona detection test being used in the country. It takes 3 to 4 hours. It is possible to test a machine at least three times a day if there are enough technologists and samples are collected.

Analysis of the results of the Department of Health shows that samples are being tested in one shift most of the day at several centers including Kurmitola Hospital, Kushtia Medical College, Jessore University of Science and Technology, Sheikh Hasina Medical College in Jamalpur and Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.

Relevant sources say that, due to staff shortage in the lab, tests are not going to be done in multiple shifts. There is also a problem in collecting adequate samples due to lack of trained manpower in the field. Due to various complications, the number of daily sample examinations is decreasing even though the examinations are closed from time to time. Some centers are closed on Fridays.
